Frank Scarpitti has lived in the Town of Markham for 38 years and currently resides in Unionville. He has spent 15 years on Markham's council in the capacities of Regional Councillor, Deputy Mayor and Mayor. Frank is well known to the residents of Markham as a family man who is visible and involved in the community. Frank will be the MC at the school for the opening ceremonies.

Located in the Town of Markham just minutes north of Toronto, the Markham Rugby Football Club (MRFC) began playing in The Toronto Rugby Union (TRU) in 1981, with one men's team. The MRFC was started by teachers, students and alumni of MDHS.

The MDHS Music Department Website is about the music program at Markham District High School. Updated and maintained by the MDHS Music Council, offering write-ups, festival results, articles, and lots of pictures! This site is for anyone who is or has been a music student, or a music enthusiast of MDHS.
